This article establishes procedures for inspecting, acceptance and reporting of reinforced concrete elliptical culvert, storm drain and sewer pipe. Refer to Sec 1034 for MoDOT’s specifications.

1034.1 Apparatus

(a) Rule with suitable graduations to accurately measure the material to be inspected.

(b) Weather-resistant marking materials.

(c) The Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe (RCP) Inspection Guide.

1034.2 Procedure

All requirements for this pipe are specified in AASHTO M 207 except the material requirements specified in Sec 1034. The basis of acceptance are specified in AASHTO M 207 and the procedures for inspecting and reporting shall be as described in 1026 Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe.

Procedures for submitting special or modified designs are described in 1026 Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe.

1034.3 Report (Records)

All reports of materials and inspections are to be made in accordance with 1026 Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe.
