1047.9 Laboratory Testing Guidelines for Sec 1047

This article establish procedures for laboratory testing and reporting samples of corrugated polyethylene culvert pipe. Refer to Sec 1047 for MoDOT’s specifications.

1047.6.1 Procedure

Tests consist of workmanship, pipe dimensions, pipe stiffness, pipe flattening, brittleness, and environmental stress cracking. All tests shall be conducted in accordance with AASHTO M 294.

1047.6.2 Sample Record

The sample record shall be completed in SiteManager, as described in Automation Section 3510, and shall indicate acceptance, qualified acceptance or rejection. Appropriate remarks, as described in EPG 106.20 Reporting, are to be included in the remarks to clarify conditions of acceptance or rejection. Test results shall be reported on the appropriate templates under the Tests tab.
