Contractor provided surveying guidance in the EPG (Section 627)should include clear direction to indicate it is the contractors responsibility to set final benchmarks on all new bridge structures (including culverts greater than or equal to 20 ft. wide). Current guidance is vague and has led to interpretation challenges.
