133.3.1 Personnel from other Functional Units

Districts may use any safety sensitive personnel designated by the district engineer in emergency situations and as indicated by the particular emergency. A commercial drivers license (CDL) is required for snow and ice control work.
- Reason for policy: To ensure MoDOT has sufficient trained personnel to work on snow and ice removal.
- Effective Date: 6/1/99
- Revision Dates: 6/17/03
133.3.2 Snow and Ice Operations Training
Supervisors must ensure employees have received all required training before snow operations.
To be considered fully trained and allowed to operate a snowplow, employees must complete all identified portions of training as listed in the Snow Fight Training Expectations.
