770.5 Posting of Bridge Limits

The Bridge Division shall rate each bridge structure and determine the load carrying capacity. Any changes in posted load limits shall be approved by the Bridge Division. In an emergency, district forces may place a temporary posting on a bridge until it may be inspected by appropriate personnel and rated by the Bridge Division. Notify the Bridge Division prior to overlaying a bridge to determine if an overlay is possible, and if so, if a revised posting is required.
