This article establishes procedures for sampling red tinting material for use in Portland cement concrete. It provides the material inspection guidelines for Sec 1056.
For Laboratory testing and sample reporting procedures, refer to 1056.1 Laboratory Testing Guidelines for Sec 1056.
Procedure. Acceptance of tinting materials shall be based on verification of manufacturer’s certification that the tinting material complies with ASTM C979. A copy of the manufacturer’s certification shall be provided to the inspector by the supplier for acceptance purposes.
