RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
Map of Phase 3 of the Page Ave. Extension
The public is invited to ride their bike, walk or run on the first section of Rte. 364/Page Phase 3 before it opens to traffic. The new Rte. 364 will be open to the public between I-64 and Rte. K on Saturday, October 4 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Access to the road will be free, but people are asked to bring canned food donations for Operation Food Search to be used in the St. Charles County area.
Maintc. Crew Leader Travis Wilfong (left) and Maintc. Worker Matt Morgan clear debris along Rte. 86 near Reddings Mill after a September thunderstorm.
Clarkson Construction Co. crews pour concrete at sunrise on the Manchester Bridge project. There are 457,000 lbs. of reinforcing steel in the deck and barrier walls and about 1,500 cubic yards of concrete to be poured in the deck and diaphragms alone. By the end of 2015, the $65 million project will replace the I-70 bridges over Manchester Trafficway, the Blue River and the adjacent rail yard as well as the historic through-tied arch Rte. 40 bridge over the Blue River.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Over 20 million hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

KCI Construction continues Stage 3 work to construct the interior abutments and girders on the land bridge of the Park Over the Highway project near the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The land bridge is to be completed by December and all construction on the project is to be completed by October 2015.
Perhaps you've wondered how many hits the most popular EPG articles have. As of mid-September, the numbers of hits are:
