WELCOME
RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
Ground was broken by state and local officials for the Lafayette St. interchange project on U.S. 50 in Jefferson City. Emery Sapp and Sons is the contractor on this project, which is the last major transportation improvement project scheduled for central Missouri due to the severe decline in state road and bridge projects funding.
Sr. Maintc. Workers Bryan Craig and Brennen Price take advantage of recent good weather to clean out a Harrison County Rte. O ditch.
Maintc. Workers Mike Cash and Duane Ruscha put finishing touches on the installation of a new drainage pipe under Rte. K near Nevada.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Over 20 million hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

American Bridge Co. workers cut the steel deck to remove the Fairfax Bridge, the U.S. 69 bridge over the Missouri River built in 1935. The workers wear a body harness for fall protection since they are within 6 ft. of the free edge. Two blast events to demolish the bridge are tentatively scheduled for January 2015.
Perhaps you've wondered how many hits the most popular EPG articles have. As of late December, the numbers of hits are:
