Today at MoDOT...MoDOT and its contractor met this morning in the South Lincoln Drive project trailer in Troy near Third Street to discuss the opening of the new roundabout today, as well as begin planning for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new interchange. Left to right, Matt Powelson, Brandy Broeckling and Chuck Smith (standing),Iron Mountain Construction Services employees, meet with Sr. Constr. Inspector Bob Davidson, Res. Engineer Rick Domzalski and Constr. Inspector Tom Owen (hands). This progress meeting is part of the Quality Management process and primarily discussing the scheduling of the opening/ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new S. Lincoln Dr. interchange at Troy.
Iron Mountain Construction Services, contractor for Troy’s S. Lincoln Dr. project, continues work on the new interchange. The project, with its three roundabouts, is expected to open to traffic in mid-September.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Millions of hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

Asst. District Engineer Andy Mueller (left) and District Traffic Engineer Joe Rickman (center) participate in KWTO 560AM's "MoDOT Talkin' Transportation" show. This show is regular part of the radio station's "Ask the Professionals" lineup.
