The district first contacts the Multimodal Operations-Rail Division whenever a project may affect rail lines, yards, or related industrial properties. Multimodal-Rail then leads the coordination process by notifying the appropriate railroad representatives and sharing project plans to gather their input and ensure all stakeholder considerations are incorporated early in the project development process.
