WELCOME
RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
Transportation crews will begin putting fresh stripes on major mid-Missouri routes. MoDOT crews will work 10 hours a day, Monday through Saturday, for the next few months to lay down the yellow and white stripes. Striping operations are mobile work zones, often moving at 10 to 12 mph.

Maintc. Worker Rafael Mayhew conducts pothole repair on a Rte. 291 outer road by filling the hole with cold mix. More permanent repairs could be made this summer.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Over 20 million hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

As MoDOT says goodbye to its centennial year, we look back at many proud accomplishments. One of the biggest was from 1956: Six involved in one of the nation's first interstate projects pose in St. Charles at the I-70 project site. (L to R) Dan Cane, superintendent, Cameron, Joyce & Co.; Chick Sayles, salesman, Alpha Portland Cement; John Latham, Distr. 6 engineer; Charles Tevis, Distr. 6 Assist. Chief Engr.; and Jack and Tinch Gammon, brothers who owned Cameron, Joyce & Co., the project's contractor.
Perhaps you've wondered how many hits the most popular EPG articles have. As of late March, the numbers of hits are:
