WELCOME
RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
Viewed from Illinois, the two Mississippi River Bridge towers reach half of their eventual 400 ft. height. After completing the towers in late spring, crews will start placing the cables and the framework for the driving surface. The entire project, including several new interchanges, is on track to be complete in early 2014. Live cameras of the project are available for viewing.
Call to Industry
Industry is invited to submit innovation entries that can improve current MoDOT operations in pavement maintenance, bridge maintenance, work zones and injury reduction. Click here to register.

Motorist Assistance Operator Craig Burgett stopped thieves from stripping valuable copper from the KC Scout traffic management system's network.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Millions of hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

Don Trivette, Sr. Maintenance Worker, and others crew members install new signs at both ends of the new US 63 near Kirksville.
Transportation Project Manager Sean Matlock, right, explains the project to rebuild the I-44/Range Line Road interchange in Joplin during a public meeting at the Joplin Regional Office.
Perhaps you've wondered how many hits the most popular EPG articles have. As of early March, the numbers of hits are:
