RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
On the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the U.S., the Missouri Military Academy Cadet Chorus sings the national anthem to open the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission meeting at Tievoli Hills in Clarksville.
Pedestrians celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the new, wider Hurricane Deck bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks near Sunrise Beach. Also at the celebration were fireworks, a parade, fire boats, fire trucks and cars from the Laurie-Sunrise Beach Rotary's Car Show.
A KCI Construction Co. worker removes cobblestones from between several roadways near the Martin Luther King Bridge in downtown St. Louis. This work starts roadway improvements leading up to the construction for the Park Over the Highway project.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Millions of hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

Motorist Assistance Operators Holly Snodgrass (center) and Steve Shelton (right) explain the Steer It and Clear It pamphlet to a guest attending the 20th anniversary of Motorist Assist. Motorist Assist has been rescuing stranded St. Louis area motorists since 1993 and in 2012 they handled nearly 37,000 incidents including over 8,000 abandoned vehicles, over 7700 mechanical repairs and nearly 5500 tire changes.
