RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
Maintenance Worker Marc Jackson (left) practices a pre-trip inspection with Darnel DeBoise (right), a student earning his commercial drivers license at St. Louis' Westlake training site.
Shari Dye, NE District Safety and Health Manager, discusses the contents of a chemical's container with Elsberry Maintenance Supervisor Roy Niemeyer during his building's annual environmental inspection.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Millions of hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

Checking plans on the Chestnut Expressway/Rte. 65 Diverging Diamond Interchange project, Springfield's newest DDI, are Resident Engineer Brad Gripka, left, and Sr. Construction Inspector Craig Huckaby.
Keith Zey, a Central District Maintenance Crew Leader, became the first Safety Jackpot winner. Safety Jackpot is one of the first new programs promoting a safe work environment. This incentive program rewards excellence in safety.
Perhaps you've wondered how many hits the most popular EPG articles have. As of early September, the numbers of hits are:
