RECENT POLICY CHANGES IN THE EPG
Sr. Customer Service Rep. Shelly Aebersold took a call from a driver and helped her find a shorter route to the state of Louisiana. Shelly printed out route maps and when the customer came in to pick up the maps, she brought in donuts for Shelly to share with her co-workers.
Clarkson Construction Co. and its subcontractors' iron workers and concrete finishers replace the bridge deck on the I-35 bridge over Southwest Trafficway in Kansas City. Multiple I-35 bridges from near the Kansas state line to north of I-670 will be rehabilitated as a part of a $29 million project.
From left, Sr. Maintenance Worker David Weiser, Maintenance Worker Mark Higgs operating a skid loader and Sr. Maintenance Worker Steve Thorpe repair the deck on the Dade Co. Rte. H bridge over Stockton Lake.

MoDOT has made great strides to build a good transportation system and increase taxpayers' trust in its ability to deliver what was promised. Innovative concepts, such as Practical Design and design-build, were used to deliver those commitments and have made MoDOT a leader in the transportation industry.

These forward-thinking, innovative concepts are reflected in the ENGINEERING POLICY GUIDE (EPG). This document provides a single reference for all engineering and engineering-related guidance by combining the former Right of Way, Design, Bridge, Construction, Traffic and Maintenance manuals.

MediaWiki, the engine behind the Wikipedia on the World Wide Web, is the software delivering the EPG. Millions of hits on the EPG endorse this format to be easy to navigate and pleasing to read. A small HELP ARTICLE is included to assist with helpful hints on how to use the EPG as well as other points of interest.

The Rte. M overpass in Scott Co. between Chaffee and Scott City, was knocked down by a train derailment. KFVS12 carried the story. Crews have cleaned up the bridge's debris and are unloading prefabricated panels to restore BNSF track.
